McFarland is the New Head Wolf….

Replacing the most successful coach in Reeds Spring Football History will certainly not be an easy task.  Lance Gosch was 49-19 in his six years as head coach.  He announced last month that he was stepping away from the sidelines and would concentrate on his duties as Activities Director

After an extensive round of interviews, Andy McFarland has been tabbed to take over the Wolves Football Program.  McFarland comes to Reeds Spring from Forsyth, where he took over a program still in its infancy.  Before Forsyth, he spent time at Hillcrest and Parkview as an offensive assistant.

Most likely gone, is the flexbone offense, that the Wolves have become known for.  McFarland’s offenses have run out of the spread  and he will look to tailor it to the strengths of the players he has.

Everyone I have spoken with, says that Coach McFarland will bring energy and excitement.  In speaking with him, myself, I can certainly feel that.   His hiring was approved by the school board last night….  He becomes the 14th head coach in the history of the program.
