Well, its a month later than expected, but the Class and District assignments for High School Sports in Missouri have been released… and their are some surprises…
Football:
Some very familiar faces in the Class 3 District 6 Group, although not as many of them. There are only 6 teams in the district this year. Reeds Spring and Hollister remain. They are joined by Cassville, Aurora, Mt Vernon, and Seneca. There was some thought that the Tigers and/or the Wolves may actually slide over to District 5, which traditionally has not been nearly as competitive.
Branson remains Class 5, they are joined in a District by: Carthage, Republic, Neosho, Ozark, and Webb City.
Forsyth is joined in a Class 2 District by: Fair Grove, Houston, Mt View Liberty, Catholic, Strafford, and Willow Springs.
Volleyball:
Reeds Spring ,Hollister, and Forsyth are in Class 3 District 11. They are joined by Buffalo and Catholic
Blue Eye is in Class 1 District 7, along with: Chadwick, Billings, Galena, Hurley, and New Covenant
Softball:
Reeds Spring remains in Class 3. They have been assigned to District 4. It is a full district that also includes: Aurora, Ava, Cassville, Doniphan, Rogersville, Seneca, and Willow Springs.
Branson, in a bit of a surprise does not go to Class 5, they will be in Class 4 District 6 with Carl Junction, Glendale, McDonald County, Monett, Neosho, Parkview, and Webb City,.
Soccer:
Branson finally gets away from Ozark and Nixa but moving to Class 3, but its still no easy task: They are joined in a District by Glendale, Catholic, and West Plains
Cross Country
Reeds Spring, Hollister, and Forsyth will all run at Hollister. They will be joined by: Aurora, Cassville, Clever, East Newton, Mt Vernon and Seneca
Branson does remain Class 5 in Cross Country.. They are in a district with: Carthage, Joplin, Glendale, Kickapoo, Ozark, Nixa, Parkview, Republic, and Catholic
Blue Eye stays Class 1: They will take on: Bakersfield, Bradleyville, Chadwick, Couch, Dora, Exeter, Fordland, Galena, Gloria Deo, Hurley, Koshkonong, and Norwood
