Austin Kendrick has been named the new boy’s head basketball coach at Reeds Spring. Kendrick comes to Reeds Spring after serving as an assistant at Parkview High School, in Springfield, for the past nine seasons.
The hiring was approved by the Board of Education last night. He will also teach Physical Education. Kendrick is a graduate of Missouri State University and received his Masters from William Woods.
In addition to Coaching basketball while he was at Parkview, he also assisted with the baseball program, and was sponsor of the Bass Fishing Club.
Kendrick takes over the program from Barry Yocom. Yocom resigned his post at the end of the basketball season, as he transitions into administration. He is set to become the Principal at Jasper High School next year.
