Track Athletes Continue…

While most area graduations have already taken place and underclassmen are out for the summer, the track season is still going strong for a few area athletes.

Reeds Spring continues to garner attention, as the Wolves claimed the team sectional championship Saturday at Eldon. They will send a strong group to the State meet this week with hopes of bringing home the schools first State Championship. Korey Robinette and Ransom Alphin led the way as they each qualied in three events.
Qualifiers include: Korey Robinette Champion in the 100m and 200m
Ransom Alphin Champion in the 300m hurdles
Darrin Rathburn 3rd in shot put
4 X 100m Relay Champions
4 x 200m Relay Champions
4 x 400m Relay Champions

On the Girls side for the Wolves:Tara Simpson qualified after finishing 3rd in the high jump
and the 4 X 800m relay team finished 4th to extend its season.

Hollister had a champion on both sides: Alexa Bekemeir won the girls discus
Kyle Kapela won the high jump

Branson will send one female athlete and a boys relay team to state..
Reagan Still finished 3rd in the pole vault
the boys 4 X 800m relay team got the bronze as well.

State Championship meet is Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City.
